What will it look like? Will I know it’s there?

The Teanaway Solar Reserve will be sited on a south-facing slope of previously logged land surrounded on all sides by existing ponderosa pine forest. If laid end-to-end, the panels would take up approximately 145 acres. However, the arrays will be spread out across 900 acres with ribbons of native vegetation running throughout. Unlike windmills, solar panels are mounted low to the ground and are not easily visible. Each panel has a non-reflective surface to reduce glare and will track the sun in order to capture the maximum amount of energy. There is no noise associated with the generation of solar power.
