Will it be harmful to the environment?

No. Solar is a clean, renewable power source that is free of pollutants. It doesn’t burn fuel and does not produce atmospheric emissions or greenhouse gases. In fact, compared to energy generated from coal plants, 75-MW of PV solar-produced power will offset about 275 million pounds of carbon dioxide every year (U.S. Department of Energy).

The project will be subject to Kittitas County’s SEPA (State Environmental Policy Act) process and an environmental assessment is currently underway.
