Ecomomic Benefits

In addition to the environmental benefits, Kittitas County and Washington State are poised to realize considerable economic benefits from the project. According to a study, as many as 225 family-wage jobs will be created during the three-year construction period with at least 35 jobs on a permanent basis. Tax revenues will support local schools, roads and hospitals. Teanaway Solar Reserve will also donate solar panels to community businesses, including the Cle Elum Senior Center and the Washington State Horse Park.
